The practitioner
Hein KleinhansB.Art. et Scien. (Planning)
I was born in South Africa and later made Britain my home, where I lived and worked for many years before establishing myself in Dubai.
I was university-trained as an urban planner, with a major in civil engineering, and spent many years working professionally in that field before moving into the highly specialised world of electrochemistry, where I have been developing technologies and solving complex technical challenges in electrochlorination.
Although very different disciplines, both taught me to think in terms of systems: to understand how interacting elements shape an outcome, identify what may be limiting performance, and determine where a precise intervention can make the greatest difference.
Alongside my professional career, I have maintained a long-standing fascination with the human mind — particularly why highly capable people can perform extraordinarily well in some circumstances, yet find their own thinking, emotions or deeply embedded patterns working against them in others. That interest led me increasingly into neuroscience, human behaviour and hypnosis.
What particularly captured my attention was the possibility that hypnosis need not be confined to addressing problems. It could also be applied to performance — helping already capable people strengthen valuable internal resources while reducing the influence of patterns that may quietly be holding them back.
That thinking became the foundation of Prime Performance Hypnosis.
Prime brings together the systems-thinking perspective that has shaped my professional life with my study and practice of hypnosis: understand the individual, identify the internal drivers and brakes, and work precisely on those areas most relevant to the outcome they want to achieve.
The objective is not to change who you are.
It is to help make more of what is already within you available when it matters most.
